Celestial Terrestrial
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This project was created during the Fall 2019 semester by a team of 11 nearly brand new Unity developers for Intro to Game Art.
The year is 3019, and you have been stranded in a foreign star system due to a warp drive malfunction. In order to return home to Earth, you must defeat 3 bosses to obtain the 3 pieces of the Hyperdrive.
This star system is filled with pirates and Federation forces, engaged in an endless battle for control. Choose your friends wisely, because you'll need their help to fight your foes.

Guide (Highly recommended to read) - I've listed some tips for playing the game below.
- The AI in this game use a reputation system to pick their targets. You can view your reputation by pressing B. By default, you are neutral, meaning the Federation (gray/blue ships) will not attack you, but pirates (red ships) will.
- The map is laid out in a plus shape, with the purple space station being the center. To the right is boss 1, up is boss 2, and left is boss 3. At the bottom, you can find the pirate space station, which has powerful upgrades, but you can only shop there if you are negative reputation.
- If you feel like the game is too tough, you can always press the "cheat" button located in the space station menu (just fly up to the station), and gain free credits for upgrades. The upgrades are uncapped, but I would advise against getting too much speed because it will be very hard to control.
- The controls are clunky at times, so there are sensitivity settings in the menu that you can change if you want to be able to turn with the mouse or zoom in and out faster. Though, I would recommend primarily turning with A and D and just using the mouse for small adjustments while aiming.
Boss tips -
- The bosses are fought in the atmosphere of planets, located near the corners of the map. Click the "Enter Atmosphere" button to enter (you might have to press CTRL to enable your mouse pointer first)
- To defeat the bosses, you'll need to first bring down their shields by destroying their blue shield generators. If you find that they are moving too fast, you can destroy their thrusters to stop them.
- Boss 1 has a powerful laser cannon that will deal immense damage if you get hit by it. It's shield generators are well protected, but if you take out the thrusters and guns at the front, the back weapons will not be able to hit you while you are destroying the generators.
- Boss 2 fires seeking missiles that can be tough to dodge. The asteroids in his arena are there for you to hide behind while these missiles are tracking you.
- Boss 3 summons smaller ships to aid it, which can be stopped by destroying the hangar bays on the front of the ship. The smaller ships can also be destroyed using the lasers that the mothership will fire at you. These lasers give an indication that they are charging up, and it's important to keep moving since they will track you while charging, but not while firing.
- Once all bosses are defeated, they will drop a piece of the hyperdrive. Your progress can be viewed by pressing B, and once all 3 parts are obtained a button will appear that will allow you to end the game.

Install instructions
To play, extract the .zip file and run the .exe file. You might get a Windows Defender popup or something similar because the project is from an "unknown publisher", simply click "Run anyway" to play.
